- Avoid the dishwasher. The heat, detergents, and vibration can cause etching, cloudiness, or even cracks.
- Fill a clean sink or basin with lukewarm water (never hot, as sudden temperature changes can stress the crystal).
- A small amount of mild dish soap is enough.
- Skip anything abrasive (scouring powders, rough sponges, or citrus-based cleaners).
- Line the sink with a soft towel to prevent chips if a piece slips.
- Hold pieces by the bowl (not the stem) when washing stemware – stems are fragile and can snap under pressure.
- Rinse in lukewarm water to remove all soap.
- Pat dry with a lint-free microfiber cloth or soft cotton towel.
- Let pieces air dry completely before storing to prevent trapped moisture (especially important for decanters).
